How many calories in a day do we burn?

How many cals in a day does it take to just sit at my desk and go home not do much activity? And how many cals should I eat to lose weight if I start going to the gym and burn 500-600 cals every other day? I am 5’2 and I weigh 256 lb’s I of course have to lose weight but I was stupid in cutting tooo many cals. How should I balance it out?

If you did nothing but lie in bed, at your height and weight, you would need around 1500 calories per day to keep your organs in working order and sustain life. For an average day with little or no exercise, you need around 2000 calories a day.

taking that your 5 feet 2 inches 39 years old 256 lbs female and you have an active lifestyle at the moment

the calculation comes to you needing around 2250.

those are your daily calorie needs. this is the calculation with your ACTIVE lifestyle, so this calculation is counting those 500-600 calories burned aswell

if you would like to lose weight, the best way is little by little, or gradually.

cut back 500 calories in food.

so eat around 1750 calories or alittle bit less or a little bit more, and work out your ussual routine of 500-600 calories.
