Show me how to add three different fractions with three different denominators? 1/3 + 2/5 + 1/2=?
The first step is to find the Lowest Common Denominator. This is the smallest number that all of the denominators are a factor of.
Multiply both the numerator and denominator of each fraction with whatever number will raise the denominator to the Lowest Common Denominator.
Add the numerators and divide by the Lowest Common Denominator and simplify if necessary.
find the lowest common denominator. then multiply the top numbers b the same number you multiplied the bottom number by.
1/3 + 2/5 + 1/2=? 10/30 + 12/30 + 15/30 = 37/30 = 1 7/30
find a commen multiple for each fraction, then multiply to numerator by the same number you did with the denominator for each faction.
what is the problem ex.. 2/6+ 3/12=6/72 cuz.. i multipley the denominators& multipley the numerators 3x2 is 6 and 12x6 is 72 6/72
well as you can see there is no way you just guess
Thanks very helpful!
