How do I fix my gaming console?

I have an xbox 360 and I love to play games ^_^ .but recently its been getting the 2 rings of death( 1 and 3 player is flashing red). Why is it doing this and if you know how to fix it can you help me? Please help I want to play my games again btw it usually only lasts 20 mins before the rings appear with games but movies usually last like 30 mins please help! =,(

send it to miscrosft. you get 4 months of xbl for free so its not that bad although you may need to wait a few weeks.
