How come we cant feel the little ball at the back of our throat?

How come we cant feel the little ball at the back of our throats when it touches our tounge is it numb or something?

Answer #1

It has no nerves and I think the word your looking for is punching bag not ball.

Answer #2

That little ball is called the uvula. We can’t feel the uvula because it has no nerves. The only time we can really feel it is if it’s swollen, like when you have a sore throat. And that feeling is just the pressure of the blood.
