When my back hurts, why do I have a cold burning feeling?

I was spring cleaning a few weeks ago when I had a tremendous pain in the middle of my spine. I still get this pain sometimes. It creeps up to the top of my spine and if someone rubs my back, the pain moves down to my ribcage! I also have this weird feeling as if someone is tugging at my muscles in my back, and also this cold burning sensation as if someone has just poured freezing cold water over my back. What is this? I don’t know whether to see a doctor because the pain comes and goes randomly.

I would see a doctor about that . . . I’ve never heard of anything like that before.
