My mom and dad have been fighting a lot lately and my mom keeps saying how she would like to leave my dad/ her husband because she does not feel 'financially secure'. We live in a great house, and are financially functioning normally. My dad and mom both have great jobs and I don't know what she is complaining about. My dad still loves her, and she still loves him, but I don't know what to do.
sweetheart... theres nothing you can do to make your parents marriage work.
my parents are divorced.. and a few years down the line, when your older, I promise you will see things differently and understand.
the best thing you can do for them is be there for them if they need to talk, help out around the house, and try to remain neutral and stay out of their problems.
theres nothing else you can do that will help. maybe pray for god to lead them in the right direction...not saying that staying together will be the result... sometimes seperation really is the best thing...
just keep your head up.
You cant make their marriage work, that's up to them. You can suggest they speak to some sort of financial adviser or start watching their spending a bit better. With the economy the way it is a lot of families are going down like this, sad really. Maybe your mom would like to save more or something, they need to sit down and discuss it. Mention to your dad that you don't want to see your family get destroyed because of this and suggest a way that he could help.
you cannot fix this... whatever their issues are, they are a lot deeper than this... you also cannot really know what is going on... please understand that there is a lot more going on behind the scenes that they will not allow you to see, and whatever happens in the end is their choice...
When your mom say's she wants to leave your dad, repectively ask her not to talk like that in front of you or say that to you. Tell her you love both of them , and divorce would be devastating. Pray for them! Blessings
You can't make your parents not get a divorce. Yeah cause thats up to them.
