Is there a such thing as getting a divorce from your parent?

My friend just told me that and I was just weirding because i never heard that before.

I think its when your parents are devorced..or seperated and you choose not to see one of your parents because of good reasons…or soemthin!! But you have to go to court to do so.

Emancipation is the term, which basically means you’re under 18, but you get the courts permission to be treated as an adult.

You cannot divorce your parents. If you choose not to have anything to do with them thats up to you but if you are a minor and don’t want to be with them, then you need to speak to social services and tell them the reasons why. But as a result you could end up in care if you’re a minor and have valid reasons not to live with your parents, ie you are at risk by living with them.
