A couple of months ago, I moved to a new house. Near a really busy road. After a few weeks, one of my two cats died. My other cat seems really lonely and she's always hanging around me! She seems really depressed. How can I make her happy again? My sister's asked for a kitten for Christmas.. and my parents have told me that they've got her one.. but will this help my other cat? Or will she get even more depressed and feel like we don't love her as much? She's sat with me whilst I'm writing this! Help!
A new kitty may help, but as angelgirl said treat them the same, or else your cat will feel unimportant and useless. Molly, my dog, was sad when four of her pups were sent away relly early. We decided to take one back, but as afriend not a daughter. We were lucky to get Locks back because she wasnt eating. They became best friends even though Moly is three years older than Locks
new kitty can help, just make sure they are introduced correctly. Make sure the new kitten isnt favored more and that they have the same rules.
For example if your older kitty cant sleep on the bed niether can the new kitty.
Good Luck and Congrat!
aww it's cute how much your care. but yeah the new kittie might help, just give them even amount of attention so she won't feel that way...if she does
