Today I was walking while playing my Dsi. I accidentily dropped it in a puddle and immedately pulled it out. Now the screen has water and it isn't working correctly. I put it in a bag of rice. Does that work? If not what are some ways of drying it out. Please help.
well if you can see water inside the screen casing, theres a good chance that rice won't fix it. I've been successful using rice before, on my cell but it didn't get water throughout like your DSI. pull the game cartridges out, battery too if you can remove it, and it might be a good idea to try and take the plastic peice over the screen(s) off to drain the water out. It won't look the same but hopefully it'll still work. Might've messed up the touch screen though, thats the thing.
I had a similar problem but mine got drenched in sprite- not totally drenched... but wet... I can still turn it on but the power light goes on for a second, then off. I think I might have ruined it by turning it on while it was still wet... my dad's a techno geek, so I'll have him take a look at it. but if I find any answers I'll try to get back to you...
Thanks cause mine does the same thing.
