How can I convince my parents to let my sister to have a pet mouse?

My sister really wants a mouse and I’d like to get her one, though I know she can’t get everything she wants. A few years ago I convinced my mom to let us have gerbils, but that didn’t work out too well. Another issue is cats we have two of them. But my parents aren’t together and I don’t see my dad that often so asking my dad wouldn’t work. My stepdad is ok with whatever ,so long as mom is ok with it. So are there any ways to get my mom to let tash get a mouse? I was thinking of maybe writing essays about why she should have one and leaving themm in places where mom can see them. So any ideas? Thanks sorry if I wrote too much.

try having your sister totake more responsibilty. keep her room clean, take her own laundry down to the washroom, take her own dishes out, ect. hopefully your mom will notice. and if she doesnt, give her hints about how hard your sis has been trying hard to get uur moms attention. good luck :) (btw, you didnt write too much at all)
