Hot Yoga, how often to do it?

Can hot yoga actually help you lose weight? How many times a week should someone take yoga for the body to start getting in shape? Thx

I practice Bikram Hot Yoga.

I can tell you that it is the fastest and easiest way I have ever come across to lose shape.

When you first start, try to go as many times as you can per week. It may be a stretch (sorry for the pun!) to get there but the results are REALLY worth it.

Try to go 4 (or even more) times per week for 1-2 months.

If you can’t keep that up after that then settling to 3 times per week will keep you looking and FEELING great. You may already be doing some other kind of exercise and you may want to supplement that with the yoga.

But for best results I would give up the other stuff when you start, and just do the yoga.

Your body will reset itself to better functioning. You will actually find that your food choices will unconsciously be a whole lot healthier and your shape will change very fast.

Maybe go to your local gym and ask them what they offer class wise and see if you could do a class for free to try it out? Yoga is a great weight loss excersise because it stretched your muscles as well as de-stresses your body.
