I was in 9th last year and I wanted to go in by I failed math a lot so what's the point of training if you can't compete? :O So im in 10th and I want to going but I can't do gymnastics! I can do karate and I'm sort of flexible but I can't do flips or sh*t like that. Can I get in or do I have to go to the nearest gymnastics center and learn?(even though I think I'm too old)
You can still join the team and as long as you're committed you will stay on the team because it's a non-cut sport. I don't think that you have to be able to do flips or anything because you will gradually grow in those areas during practice. When I joined gymnastics in 9th grade I didn't know how to do anything and was not flexible at all. I wish I did gymnastics when I was younger but I didn't. The fact that I started in high school helped me not feel regretful later. It's never to late to do anything but the sooner the better right?
I don't think someone can ever be too old to join something. (in your case gymnastics.) Being in Karate could help alot with gymnastics, I personally think, but I don't really know a think about either. I think you'd be best off talking to the coach? It will take alot of practise, but if you set your mind to it you will be able to do flips and stuff.
