help, how do I tell my parents that I write poetry?

how do I tell my parents that I write poetry without them laughing at me my parents arent really into the king of stuff I write its kinda depressing and emo? here is one of my poems: You promised me you’d be there forever. But where were you when I didn’t want to live? You promised me that you’d fight for me when I no longer could. Where were you when I was sitting on the swing crying because of there words? You promised me that you would come to me when I couldn’t get to you. Where were you when I was at home crying, hurt, and bruised because my dad came home early? You promised me that you would runaway with me that night. Where were you when I was standing on the curb, bags packed, waiting? Do you remember when you promised me that you loved me? Well, that was the same day I swore I would never believe you.

P.S. my dad does not abusse me

welli maybe only 13 but I do know that if you tell you parents they should support anything you do even if they dont like it its your life do what you want and wright what you want

well they shouldnt care. I mean its your life not theres. If you really dont want to tell them, just leave them somewere that they will find them. Then all you gotta do is say hey thats mine.

just tell them weather they write poetry or not, or like poetry or not, they should accept that its something you like to do they shouldnt mind at all, its something you can do in your spare time, it doesnt affect anything like your chooling or work its just a hobby some people write books, some people play sports, some people write poetry/songs, ect just tell them its a hobby that you like doing
