Ditto to Ty…keep his claws on…

Every cat, just like every dog, or every person for that matter, has it’s own personality, it’s own level of affection, it’s own way of being…I had a cat like Ty’s…hated to be picked up, rather lay on the floor with the dogs, than sit in my lap (that was fine with me)…however, I knew he loved me…he’d pat me all the time…he just didn’t like being messed with.

My brother’s cat can’t stand anyone but me and my dad because we’re the only ones that feed him. It’s harder to earn respect from a cat haha.:)

Do not get the cat declawed. How would you like your nails ripped off? Also, some how I dont think you’d be nicer towards the person who did it…

Uhm, cats are not like dogs. They do their own thing… My cat, several years later, hates to be picked up. Even by me. And she loves me. You cannot make something/one more lovable. Either you love it or you dont… If you’re having specific training issues, that is a whole different issue… Cats are hard, because they’re not too interested in much, but lots of reinforcement for being good (treats, play time, petting), and generally ignoring when its being bad…

give it lots of attention and give it toys and treats and it will start to be more lovable and nice to you and others
