How to convince my Mom to let me go on vacation with a friend?

okay one of my friends asked me to go on this AWESOME vacation with them this summer. … in like 3 weeks or something. I asked my mom, but my mom said, “I don’t know that girl’s parents well enough” because my mom never met the one friend before. I asked her if she talked with my friends parents would she feel better about it but she said no. BUT I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to go. I’m not going anywhere during the summer so it would be the one thing I’m really doing, and I respect my moms decision but it doesnt change the fact that I really want to go. so is there any way I could convince her to let me go?

Your mom is just being overly protective of you.

Try and catch her when she’s in a good mood and ask her if you and she can sit down and talk about it. If she will talk about it, ask her what it is that causes her apprehension about it and what can be done to satisfy her concerns.

Welll, you have many options. First if you want to go so badly, ask your mom to maybe have dinner with their parents, or at least be reasonable.

Tell her that you will be responsible, that you’ll call her everynight or morning ( and that would help her feel better if you did go ) Explain to her that you’ll be fine and give examples, and also tell her that your friends parents are very nice ( which I hope they would be ) Just don’t nag her, that is pointing more towards a no
