Cut myself for about 5 years and my mom doesn't know

I have cut myself for about 5 years and my mom doesn’t know , should I tell her before swim season,or I just not tell her at all and try to stop cutting .

I’m a mother and there is nothing in this universe more to me than the health and well being of my children. I would want my kid to tell me and than if you’re ready to seek help for this you won’t feel so alone. I would also have even more respect for my kid in being so brave as to tell me. This is hard to stop on your own. One trick is to wear a rubber band around your wrist and every time you get the urge to cut, snap that rubber band.

Well…you should try to stop but I Know it is difficult…I’ve tried some other ways but it doesnt really work.

You could tell her if you feel you can talk to her about it…or try to get out of going swimming. Or if the scars arnt too visible maybe it wont show to much.

Dont thik your allowed posts on cutting on here anymore though :P
