How does anyone know if they are going to heaven or hell?

Nobody KNOWS… since nobody can prove that heaven or hell even exists. People can only BELIEVE in heaven or hell, or they can choose not to believe in either.

Answer #8

The New Testament isn’t clear at all about salvation. In some parts, it’s about accepting the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ as atonement for sin. In other parts, it’s about being born again (not the same thing, by the way). That’s why you had so many different variations of Christianity right from the start: everyone had different ideas about salvation, who needed it, and how it happens.

But it’s all irrelevant anyway. As others have pointed out, heaven and hell are mythical places.

Answer #9

You are mistaken…because you do not KNOW my God (Yeshua Jesus)

You don’t KNOW him either… and what’s the point of saying his name twice?

NO ONE can be a “good” person no matter how hard he tries. Man is TOTALLY DEPRAVED…there is NO ‘good” in him: “As it is written, there is NONE righteous…

Being a ‘good person’ and being ‘righteous’ are two different things. So once again… YOU’RE WRONG. Besides, your using a typical ‘small-world view’ which suffers two major flaws.

Answer #10

Simple: As the Bible tells us: ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall (means will be/manadatory) be Saved’ - Once you’re saved your name is recorded in the ‘Lamb’s Book of Life’, assuring your place in eternity in Heaven with Him - not because of anything you’ve done or could ever do but because of what Jesus did for you on the cross - this verse tells it all, John 3 : 16, Amen !!

Answer #11

I agree with the guy above,

there is one and only one who can give you salvation and is the key to the Kingdom of GOD and that is JESUS.

look for salvation and you shall be saved ask him into your heart and ask him to forgive you for your sins. Ask him to lead you and guide you. Tell him that you are scared and put everything in his hads because he is the head over all things.

let me know if you have anymore questions,

I believe that Yeshua has died for my sins, and I try to learn to repent from my sins. By my religion that is all that matters. There are thousands of different ways you can interpret the bible, the one thing that really matters is that most of them from the perspective of Christianity or Messianic Judaism the son is key to heaven. There are a lot of things that I diagree with Christianity on, but these are only reguarding interpretations, not the pathway into heaven. In short, I have asked for the invitation, and I have recived the invatation.

Answer #13

*[“Well their is no way to tell god is very forgiving…”]

*You are mistaken…because you do not KNOW my God (Yeshua Jesus) nor do you BELIEVE His word. In His word it DECLARES the following: “And you being DEAD in your SINS and the UNCIRCUMCISION of your FLESH, hath he QUICKENED together with him, having FORGIVEN you ALL trespasses; BLOTTING OUT the handwriting of ORDINANCES that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took IT out of the way, nailing IT to his CROSS” [Colossians 2:13-14]…and again “And be ye KIND one to another, TENDERHEARTED, FORGIVING one another, even as God for Christ’s SAKE HATH FORGIVEN you” [Ephesians 4:32].

BOTTOM-LINE: The Scriptures are clear…my God is very forgiving…so much so that He shed His very BLOOD so that I WOULD be FORGIVEN of ALL my SINS and inherit ETERNAL LIFE through HIM. EVERY Christian has this hope in his heart…and this is what prompts us to tell you that have NOT this hope…that Yeshua Jesus DIED for you too…that He holds out this hope to you too…that you might attain ETERNAL life through Him.

*[“But try to be a good person and you might go to heaven…”]

*NO ONE can be a “good” person no matter how hard he tries. Man is TOTALLY DEPRAVED…there is NO ‘good” in him: “As it is written, there is NONE righteous, no, NOT ONE: There is NONE that understandeth, there is NONE that seeketh after God” [Romans 3:10-11]…and again: “For ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23].

Mankind cannot “earn” his way to heaven by being “good”…for it is “by GRACE are ye saved through FAITH; and NOT of YOURSELVES it is the GIFT of God: NOT of WORKS, lest any man should boast” [Ephesians 2:8-9]. Too, man is a born sinner [Psalm 51:5] and is DEAD in trespasses and sin…and, as such, cannot produce any righteousness…for it is written: “But we are ALL as an unclean thing, and ALL our righteousnesses are as FILTHY RAGS; and we ALL do fade as a leaf; and our INIQUITIES, like the wind, have taken us away” [Isaiah 64:6].

BOTTOM-LINE: You (nor anyone else) can be a “good” person because we are ALL born sinners [Psalm 51:5]…and CANNOT produce ANY RIGHTEOUS act acceptable to God [Isaiah 64:6] because of our SINFUL condition.

Answer #21

For a Christian, they reach out to God, the bible says that when you seek the Lord with all your heart, you will be found of him.

God judges the attitudes of the heart, and whether or not the blood of his son, has been applied.

Jesus gave his life, so that we could be forgiven, and be saved.

It is not his will, that any should perish.

The work of salvation in our hearts begins when we begin to be drawn by the Holy Spirit

It continues until we draw our last breath.

It is not a works based salvation, in other words, based on our good deeds. It is based on what Jesus already did for us, all we have to do is to receive it. We begin in faith, we are kept by faith, and we hopefully end in faith.

Faith is the essense of what God is looking for, in our hearts.

He alone is able to judge our hearts.

He did say that we (believers) would be recognized by the love in our hearts…

also, he said we would be recognized by the fruit that our life produces, and he went on to say that a good tree does not produce bad fruit, neither does a bad tree, produce good fruit.

He also said, If… you love me, you will… obey… my commandments.

Hebrews chapter 11 is called the faith chapter, as it shows how many of the men & women mentioned in the bible, were moved by faith, to do great things for God.

Faith worked then, and it still works now.

He leaves no room for anyone to boast… of their accomplishments… or their goodness or self righteousness…

We all come thru the blood… and that makes the ground at Calvary… Level.

When he looks, will he find the blood applied to your life???

And you living in accordance with his will???

And being obedient to his commandments???

Or, will he say, Depart from me, ye workers of iniquity..

I never knew you.

Answer #22

*[“How does anyone know if they are going to heaven or hell?”]

*The Bible DECLARES, of a certainty, where a BELIEVER will go…to wit: “‘The word is near you, in thy mouth and in thine heart ‘ (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if thou wilt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto SALVATION” [Romans 10:8-10].

This is not a simple acknowledgment that He is God and the Lord of the universe…since even demons acknowledge that to be true [James 2:19]. This is the deep personal conviction, without reservation, that Jesus is that person’s own master or sovereign. This phrase includes REPENTING from sin, trusting in Jesus for SALVATION, and submitting to Him as Lord. This is the volitional element of FAITH (I.e., believe in your heart…Romans 1:16).

Christ’s resurrection was the supreme validation of His ministry (John 2:18-21). Belief in it is necessary for salvation because it proved that Christ is who He claimed to be and that the Father had accepted His sacrifice in the place of sinners [Romans 4:24;Acts 13:32,33;1 Peter 1:3,4]. Without the resurrection, there is no salvation.
