Who has heard of the B.R.A.T diet?

basically it means you eat. bananas, rice, apples, and toast. does this seem healthy at all. my friend is thinking about doing this. but she wont listen to me. so i wondering if it is just me being weird?

Answer #1

yes I have heard and have done it before. What is the reason why she’s doing it?

Answer #2

LOL, it’s usually known to be the foods you give a baby/toddler when they’re constipated.

Answer #3

IT’s not healthy. Any diet which requires you to eat differently and then stop eating differently isn’t healthy. She won’t be able to sustain herself on that and she isn’t getting in any form of protein and depriving herself of other vital nutrients.

Answer #4

i’m pretty sure its not an actual diet to lose weight from. that its a bland diet for certain illnesses like diarrhea, upset stomach. i don’t agree she should do it if losing weigh in her goal, there is other healthier ways in doing so.

Answer #5

She wants to lose weight.

Answer #6

Answer #7

Answer #8

Answer #9

Answer #10

Actually, as a mother, I’m ashamed to say I got that backward. It’s the type of foods to AVOID if your child is constipated. They are known as foods that bind. SO, helpful if the child has diarrhea, and to be avoided if the child has constipation. Sorry about that!!

Answer #11

yea its def not a weight lose diet, it’s if you have diarrhea. It will then make you have a normal bowel movement. That food helps your colon heal.

Answer #12

that will def not help her loose weight like she wants cau your suppose to stay away from carbs, and the toast and rice wouldn’t be something you would want to eat then
