Yes - that’s why we have to be still and know - make time in prayer and study to carefully discern His will.

Answer #2

Gods voice is very still and quiet, completely different from what we ordinarily experience. He actually has multitudes of ways in which he can and does speak to us. We have to begin to open our eyes, and our ears, and our senses to his leading.

When we seek him with all our hearts, he will respond.

We have to judge all things, thru the Word of God. It is our guide.

It is the way we learn how to interact with God, and also, how we get to know him.

His character is revealed in his word.

His spirit makes his word come alive.

He delights in delighting us, as well as instructing us in his ways.

There are other voices that also desire to speak to us, and we have to learn to discern the voice of God.

It is a still small voice.

Never loud, never demanding, never condemning, never accusing…

always… without failure… this is the voice of our enemy.

He desires to steal, kill and destroy, what God created.

God is in the repair business.

He is constantly trying to restore us to where we were intended to be.

His ways are good, and perfect and right.

He is altogether lovely.

It is perfectly alright and fitting, to submit, what you believe to be the voice of God, to elders around you, ones that are already hearing from him, asking their advice, and counsel, in this very important matter, that is of utmost consequence in each of our lives.

God delights in confirming his word to us. It actually says that out of the mouth, of two or three witnesses, let every word be established.

There is great safety in that, trusting in those around you who are following the Lord.

And the bible says in the multitude of counselors, there is safety.

There will be agreement, when you are truly hearing from God.

He will never go against any part of his word.

His voice and spirit will be perfectly aligned with his word.

Therein lies your safety and direction.

God bless…

Here is a great exercise: B…

                                          B...still...

                                          B...still...and...know...

                                          B...still...and...know...He...

                                          B...still...and...know...He...is...

                                          B...still...and...know...He...is...God...

                                          B...still...and...know...He...is...

and back to B…

And as others have said, when you hear His still small voice, and He has laid something on your heart, do it immediately! If you have to think about it, you’re too late.

Such is seeing a lady burdened with sacks and you open the door, help the neighbor open the dumpster so they can dump in the lawn clippings, see someone pulled over on the side of the road with a flat…change it for them!

Have you ever gone into a restroom… wherever… and just wiped it up a bit or even picked up some of the paper on the floor..scrubbed the walls from all the fingerprints with your hand towel before throwing it away?

Has someone been placed on your mind to go visit them and you haven’t heard from them in a while or the elderly in the old folks home who need someone to talk to and it really doesn’t matter if you are family!

The list goes on an on…just listen…even in a busy place you can hear His voice.

ALL prayers are answered and they usually are not in our timing or exactly what we pray for. He always surprises.

Journal your prayers AND answers.

When praying start with A-C-T-S:

 give Him- Adoration and praise
                  -Confess your shortcomings
                  -Thank Him
ask your -Supplication or intercession for others
Answer #4

I’ve heard God speaks in a still small voice. Most people don’t literally hear him. But,they feel his presence. If you feel God urging you to do something and you know it’s right do it.

Answer #5

I think that if you have the Holy Spirit within you, God telling you something & your subconscious are the same thing. The only thing you need to be careful about is if it is your flesh, your worldly desires telling you to do something.

Answer #6

What Toadaly said. Also, don’t trust it when it says “No, this time it’s really God, not your subconscious”. It’s a devious so-and-so.

Answer #7

When you hear that little voice in your head telling you it’s ok to eat a second piece of pie, that’s your subconscious. If you ever hear it say “we interrupt this pie message to bring you a message from God”, then you can know …it’s still just your subconscious.

Answer #8

I advice you that just keep prayin you may not hear him literally but he is surely listening
