How hard is it to live with friends (at a young age)?

Extremely. Ive lived in several places with different friends or couples - the ONLY advantage i ever had was having people to split the rent and utilities with. The cons: drama, having to deal with their friends or guys they bring home, dealing with the mess and figuring out who cleans what, having them not have the money for their share of the utilities, having them use your things without your permission or using the last of everything without replacing it, someone moving out unexpectedly and leaving you with their share of the bills, its nothing but a huge headache.

It is very difficult to live with friends at any age. Now and then you can find someone you are very compatible with but it’s a hard thing to find! Your best bet is living with people you don’t hang out with. Someone mature and who has their own things going on and only wants to enjoy their home quietly with a roommate.

I wouldn’t do it, it never ends well!

i will not argue with anybody because everybody thinks different but i used to live with my bestfriend when we were 16 of course our parents were paying for the gorgeous house and we didnt have to do anything but clean the house and go shopping. we have known each other for soooo long and we are like sisters one week its was my turn for cleaning the home the next it was hers :) we like the same things (food) so we didnt have any problem with that :D it was just perfect but we were partying waaaaaaay too much and we spent about 10.000 on partys in 6 months so our parents got annoyed and we dont live together anymore it was good experience though :Dxxxxx

I’ve never lived with a friend, really, but I moved in with my boyfriend when I was 17. It really depends on your relationship with that person. It sucks that I always have to do the dishes and he almost never cleans but he pays most of the bills. We have an understanding and we’re open with each other. I think those are the things that make it easy to live with someone as equals.
