What should I do about a young friend who is pregnant?

I have this friend who is 12 and I’m 20. But she just got pregnant and doesn’t know how to tell her parents. She came to me for advice. What do you think that I should say to her?

she needs to tell her parents. obviously they are going to find out sooner or later and if they see she’s pregnant and she didn’t tell them… I don’t even want to think about how mad they will be. why is a 12 year old sleeping with guys anyway? don’t let her get an abortion!! I know she’s young but still, give it up for adoption!

I would say to her that she should tell her parents in a calm and rational way. it’s not going to be easy for her to tell her parents but she obviously has to do it. you should tell her…that she shouldn’t be sleepin with guys at her age. but too late for that. don’t make her feel guilty about being pregnant because everyone else is going to. here’s what I’d tell her if I was you: no matter how you let your parents know…how their reaction is going to be doesn’t make a difference. because they’re going to go hysterical and say all sorts of things. But you know that everything in life happens for a reason. oh yea let her know that you’re going to be there for her if she needs anything.
