can some one please help me? I have to write an essay on the poem ‘’half caste’’. can some one please tell me what its about in simple words because im really stuck. thanks xx
Half-caste is a person of mixed race, but it’s used in an insulting manner. The author implies that Picasso’s paintings and Tchaikovsky’s music must also be inferior because they are half-caste, based on the mixing of colours on the canvas, or the mixing of notes on the piano.
The words he uses like “yu” and “dem” are in Caribbean dialect.
