Hacker Cons.

I’m not sure how many hackers are on this site but I’m just shy of 15 and I really want to go to a hacker convention. I’ve been into computers since I was like… conceived and I would love to meet people that get me and my way of thinking. I’ve heard that some are really party and beer/alcohol oriented but I was wondering if a 15 year old would have any problems or be accepted there or whatnot… Thanks.

omfg… hacking is not illegal. Hacking is the exploring of things and systems to figure out how they work… Cyber crimes are illegal. That is why the are called cyber CRIMES… and FYI many people consider themselves hackers on and off camera. It’s actually prestigous to be called a hacker. Hacker conventions have their own websites and people actually know about them. If they were illegal then they would get shutdown almost instantly. Hopefully you can go clear some of you’re ignorant preconcieved notions by using a magical thing called google… or common sense…

Ahh hackers aren’t going to pop up and say ‘Me me me! I’m one!’ Mainly, because it’s illegal.
