The stories are somewhat true, the media just explodes them into huge stop-press occurrences.
Like, a child will be accidently hit by a car, and the newspapers will print CHILD SLAUGHTERED BY DR-UGGED MOTORIST, NATION IN SHOCK. Which will then lead to MURD3ROUS ABUSIVE SPEEDER LET GO WITH INSIGNIFICANT CHARGES- ARE OUR KIDS SAFE?
To be honest, sometimes I just laugh at the headlines.
While I don't believe they straight up invent news, they certainly blow it out of proportion, put certain spins on it, and very often extrapolate a bit too much "information" out of little things. As Renee said, they take events and make them sound 10x worse then they were.
Not at all. Although, sublimely, it does affect us. We begin to feel certain way about certain things, or see certain things a certain without noticing due to the subliminal influence of the media. It would be ignorant to say that it doesnt affect us at all.
no they make things up all the time lol you cant believe anything their saying.
if anyone were to believe everything the media said they'd be a confused soul.
No not at all. I think they make up some stuff cuz it'll draw u in.
If we did the population would be consiterably lower..... lol jk
