What does it mean if your gums are swollen and slightly bleeding?

(similar to the picture, those are not my teeth)

Gum infection? Best thing to do is to go to the dentist, just in case its anathing bad.

Answer #2

The problem could be a few things… could be gum disease, could be a virus, could be an infection. Might even just be lack of flossing or cleaning properly. Only way to find out for sure is to get it checked out by the dentist or a periodontist. xx

Answer #3

sounds like the start of gingivitis i.e. gum disease. Best thing is to make an appointment at your dentist and start flossing and brushing properly everyday.

Answer #4

Get thee to a dentist immediately. If it’s any kind of gum disease or other problem, it can affect your whole body. It costs money, but to not do it will cost you waaay more in the long run. Just as my sister, who waited and now has many more expensive bills for not just teeth but other problems aggravated but not having her mouth in good shape. I’m the lucky one in our family, but I’m not trying to be preachy. It’s very important to get that looked at right away.
