Gross question about discharge

Ok im sorry if this sounds ultra gross :( But I gotta ask

I’m like 3 or 4 days from having my period I discharge a a lot and it sucks but normally I can just see when when I go to the restroom but I was just sitting down and a whole bunch of very white discharge just came like rushing out…its very white I guess kinda thick but not stretchy or anything and it doesnt smell unatural.. this happened yesterday too…but not this large amount. its just not the first time this kinda thing has happened.

Is there any reason this is happening like this? im on birth control and I’ve had sex with my boyfriend a good few times but we use a condom too so im not worried about pregnacy cause I feel fine and discharge is normal right? but is it normal to have a lot? and for it just like flow out like that? thanks please any commet would be helpful!

it may just be the liquid that you release when your vagina is cleaning itself. at school the nurse would always tell us that you would discharge before your period, its a bit like a warning
