Whatever you do, don't just do crunches without any cardio. Crunches bring out and develop the stomach muscles but it's the cardio that trims the fat.
Running is good and so is swimming. Cycling and canoeing are also good options. Any kind of cardio you can think of where you have to rotate your mid-section.
