I watched this one video on youtube seeing an golden eagle divebסmbing going in for the kιll attacking an antelope in wyoming. I don’t know if anyone saw this video but the golden eagle destroyed the antelope tearing up most of it’s skin. Usually would’nt an antelope kιll a golden eagle? Yes they are birds of prey but how did the golden eagle do this? So for instance if a golden eagle dive bסmbed a brown bear or grizzly bear or even a full grown bengal tiger the eagle would win??

antelope are prey species- so yes a golden eagle can kill an antelope. and it wouldn’t quite work the other way around- the antelopes instincts are to run from a predator- not attack it- especially one coming from the sky.

as far as your other match ups- i would say no a golden eagle would not be able to kill a brown bear/ grizzly or a bengal tiger.

however- it can inflict some nasty damage with its talons, whatever it attacks is going to bleed- but it doesn’t match up with the other top line mammal predators, and its hollow bones would be far too fragile to go head to head with a large mammal predator.

So your saying that it would cause heavy damage to a Bengal tiger or a full grown grizzly/brown bear. How about a full grown hippo or crocodile will a golden eagle attack them? An adult great white shark? Killer whale who would win that?

no- i would inflict some damage because of its talons and beak- there would be blood drawn but the wounds would not result in the death of either the brown bear or the tiger.

hippos would simply submerge- and their hide is too thick for the talons to penetrate very far. the crocodile is the same- thick skin- no golden eagle in the world would target any of the top line predators as prey, the biggest drive in a golden eagles life is to feed , and reproduce and to NOT GET INJURED IN EITHER PURSUIT, there are no doctors in the wild, if the eagle breaks its wing- it dies- simple.

great white shark?? killer whale?? an eagle would be a simple snack for either of those and again- the eagle would NEVER ATTACK ANYTHING SO LARGE.
