Girlfriends and boyfriends

How come it seems everybody I know gets stupid when they get a girlfriend or a boyfriend.
Like they totally change and it kindof freaks me out because they never acted so .. obsessed?
I mean is anybody my age grown up enough to keep their hands to themselves? What is the deal is there some thing there I don’t know about that shuts down the brain or something?
Lets just say I can’t relate but I am a little dissappointed with people most of the time about this.

You’re being extremely unfair, a little absurd, and might want to tone down the hyperbole before it gets you in trouble with those you care about.

Of course people change when they get a new relationship. Why wouldn’t they? When something huge changes in someone’s life, the person naturally changes with it. If it happens with something small – a person gets a great haircut and acts a little more confident – do you still criticize them for changing their behavior?

Calling someone stupid, implying that they are immature, and looking down your nose at them just because someone new is in their life that they feel strongly about is ridiculous. Yes, they will want to spend time with them, do things with them, and touch them. Grow up, deal with it, and be happy for them.
