would gallstones cause you to have severe abdominal cramps?

Answer #1

They might, I’m guessing it depends on how severe they are. You should see a doctor, just in case. :)

Answer #2

Abdominal cramps? Not likely.

Gallstones cause you to have sharp pains in the right side, just below the rib cage and into the back. Your doctor will need to run an ultrasound to see if it is gallstones, then you can talk about treatment, which usually entails removing the gallbladder if the situation is severe. It’s a simple surgery … I had mine removed awhile back … recovery doesn’t take long.
