how do i tell my friends im emo??

Well I don’t like labels…I think you should just be yourself. But yea I agree with butterfly, if they don’t accept you for who you are then they aren’t really your friends and you should find some people that will stick by you through anything.

I dont get it? Isn’t emo a lifestyle,how haven’t they noticed unless you don’t dress like one and listen to that music and in that case how you be one anyway

emo is defined in many ways, but for this situation, i don’t think sas323 means emo in a lifestyle kind of way. but more on her personality.

“emo” means emotional….so just because you claim you are emo doesn’t mean you HAVE to wear certain clothes, hairstyles, or listen to certain music. However MOST people that claim to be emo do wear and listen to certain things.

I know all this, but I was just going with the most likely idea of what people expect an Emo to be, I mean you hardly ever get someone who defines themselves as emo who doesn’t dress like one or listen to that music. You could ask that question about anything who defines a chav, or a plastic, but it’s how society has developed, with stereotypes to look for, it might not be right but that’s life.

It’s only a style, if they were your true friends, they would like you; no matter how you dress. my friends didn’t accept me at first, so i ‘got rid of them’ now i have amazing people involved in my life who accept me for who i really am, honestly, it’s really no big deal (: just go for it.

just tell them cause if the r reallie ur friends then they will still like u for who u are and not want u to change

i was an emo. just dont get to stressed when they have there reaction just chill if they dont like what they are hearing then they are ovb. not that good as m8’s. xx hope this helps.

i would makje sure that you caan trust them, but that is just me, i never trust anyone.. lol but anyways i think that you should tell someone even if you dont like talking aboutt, and be ready for the questions to come your way. i know it is hard when you have anger or probs, but i have learned to take that anger on other things weather it is going to your room and cry, not cause your hurt, or sad, but because u are upset thats what i do, cause other then that i am going to hit something, but people deal with things in thier own way… just be carefull..AND IF YOU EVER NEED ANYONE I AM HERE i know we dont know each other, but i have a big heart and am very caring… =) good luck!
