How come when I flex my legs my thighs are really hard but when I don't it feels like they are fatty?

Answer #1

Flexing the muscle makes it tighten up and feel hard

Answer #2

That’s how muscles work

Answer #3

Do exercise like running and afterwards have a nice warm bath to relax the muscles

Answer #4

relaxed muscles are loose and muscles tighten up when you use them.

Answer #5

It could be the type of leg exercises you’re doing. If you’re doing slow leg exercises or long distance running, maybe you could change to sprinting. And I’m not meaning to be disagreeable or anything, but sometimes warm baths or showers can give you cramps, most of the time, its better to take a cold shower or bath after you run to squeeze the lactic acid from your muscles, and cold showers help keep your muscle tone longer. Hope I helped =P

Answer #6

My quads get hard when I flex them because I want to show definition. When in the relaxed state, they are free to move around and seem “jiggly”. It’s the same on every muscle. If you shake your arm and not flex it, your arm feels jiggly, but when you flex it, your muscles are being contracted and don’t move around as much.
