How can I fix this Flash problem since I upgraded to Firefox 7?

I checked it out and I think I have the latest one but ever since I upgraded from Firefox 3 to 7 youtube videos are glitchy for me. The audio is perfect but the video is slower and out of sync with the audio. I know it must be something with my side because I have noticed vids that were perfect before the Firefox update are experiencing this now. Does anyone know what I can do?

well download a new version:O

Please read thoroughly, I am pretty sure I have the latest version. My add/remove programs menu has a ‘Adobe Flash 11’ and I believe that is the latest version.

I’ve got the same thing going on here. But now I cant even type in a URL, web address, or even see it, or click the back forward or anything on that bar. It sucks. Every time I want to go to a different website I have to exit out of everything and reopen the web browser and type it into the search engine and find the website. Its a pain in the ass. I don’t know what to do either. I dont think that problem is cause of Firefox though.

If you just got the upgrade then you will be confronted with a list of add-ons to abort or keep running…. You can view or change your add-ons in the Tools menu on the menu bar close to the very top of your screen. Ignore the student/teacher stuff and click on “extensions” or “plugins” look for “flash” and make sure it’s enabled. If that doesn’t help you should restart your computer, the RAM may be low; this effects video or graphics performance. If you still have problems, clean out your files.

im running windows xp and have no problems :D

Answer #6

Hmm, Inn my add-ons Adobe flash is not listed, I see Shockwave flash and Java. Could the problem lie there?

I recently restarted my computer for automatic updates and as for clearing files, I have none except a few college assignments. I keep everything else on a flash disc ever since using one to remove it from my old lappy. I figure it will keep my lappy healthier longer.

Oh, btw, I was prompted last night to upgrade to Firefox 8, so I went ahead and did that.

Answer #8

Hey there,

Have you tried using another browser to see if the same problem is being exhibited? I don’t think the issue is with your browser while it is possible, I’m leaning more towards something else. I would start of by reinstalling flash to make sure you are running the latest version. This will ensure that any compatibility problems with the new browser and current flash version are resolved because both programs will have the latest features and fixes. I would also make sure that you check the firmware for your graphics card. While things might have been fine with older version of Firefox, but now that you have the latest you might need to update your graphics card to make sure the drivers are in tact and any bugs or fixes are resolved also.
