Open Office has a word processor similar to Word, and it’s free: http://funadvice.com/r/3jsab7gsgn You can also try your wordpad or note program that comes with your windows OS.

Thank you so much! I had found “open office” before posting this question and when I went to download it there was a lot of nonsense with it. It even wanted to keep track of my internet usage and every site I visited all my information and everything! I did not want that! It also wanted to install a lot of other things with it. I was skeptical but I trust you guys. :) This one is different and only installed the open office. Appreciate it!!

Found a list of the top “on-line” word processors….maybe you’ll have some luck with one of these…

I always use Google Docs whenever I have a problem with word. It’s free, and you can access your saved files from any computer. you can also share documents with people, which I do a lot with my clients for work spreadsheets and stuff. You can have multiple people edit it if need be so everyone stays in touch. All that can be found at docs.google.com. :)

I just downloaded Open Office thanks to this question, and answers. :) It IS free, and it DOES work. Very similar to Microsoft Word. On my computer, for some reason I don’t have Microsoft Word, so I needed something similar that was free and worked. Thanks guys!
