For meditation,just choose a room in your house..if you really want to continue and keep doing it,do the meditation the same room,eventually that room will be filled by positive energy and you will enjoy it more and more.Go in a park,backyard or anywhere you feel comfortable,where there is peace and you think where you can concentrate well...
I assume by "meditate" you just mean to take time to think deeply and ponder important things. It's different for everyone. I meditate best lying in bed before I go to sleep. Pay attention to different places you're in and see when you feel comfortable and inspired.
The woods, an empty field, your backyard - nature is a wonderful way too relax, the sounds are southing and you can smell the trees and flowers and its relaxing.
I agree, somewhere quiet, spacious, calm, peaceful. A nice spot by a creek would be good as well. =]
