Can I file a complaint if I believe the cable technician stole something from me?

I have searched my room from top to bottom for my phone’s USB cord that hooks it up to my laptop, but I can’t find it anywhere. The only possibility is, the cable company Charter in Victorville’s technician stole it from my desk because it never leaves my desk.

It it possible to file a complaint for a stolen item? What will I get out of this?

Answer #1

Personally I think they won’t care unless you have proof they stole it.

Answer #2

well I guess you could try, but you’ll end up looking bad if it turns up in your possession. if all else fails just buy a new one.

Answer #3

That seems like something that would be commonly misplaced. I think it would seem kind of silly to go through all of the work to file a complaint when you could easily just buy a new one.

Answer #4

How do you plan to prove it? Without some sort of evidence to cause reasonable doubt about the technician, there’s nothing you can do. Unfortunately, “it never leaves my desk” is not evidence.
