Feeding Menu

My son is 13 months and I have him on a feeding schedule, 3 meals and 2 snacks. I’m not sure if he’s getting the necessary amount of fruits of vegetables that he needs. So what do you feed your one year old?

Answer #1

When my kids were one they had breakfast, lunch and dinner. I tried to make them with some kind of vegetable and meat and then fruit for dessert. They also had a cup of milk for breakfast and before bed. They would get a snack between lunch and dinner and one before bed with their milk. It sounds like your son is getting the right amount of fruits and vegetables. Do you give him juice? If you use the100% juice…Juicy Juice…then that also counts as a fruit. Just try to make sure that he’s eating something from each food group at every meal and he’ll be fine.

Good luck
