Is it too late for me to hold on to my faith?

I am a recent believer is it late for me to hold on to my faith sometimes I wonder what should be done

Answer #1

* No human being, who is not in a coma, lives a life without faith.

…therefor faith in ridiculous ancient myths is reasonable?

Making inferences and acting on them, or weighing the odds and going for it, are not the same kind of wishful thinking that is the root of religious faith.

Answer #2

camppapa: Plenty of people live without faith - unless you extend the definition of ‘faith’ to such an extent it becomes meaningless (I have ‘faith’ that what I see is usually a fair representation of the world around me, for example). And even if it were true, the fact that everyone does it doesn’t make it any less irrational.

Answer #3

well I don’t think you should hold on to faith I think you should hold on to God and have faith and know that throgh him we can do all things

Answer #4

If you’re having problems, talk to one of your leaders. You can still be a believer and hold on to faith. You can still have god in your life. Its never too late.

Answer #5

On the other hand, if you find that having faith just isn’t enough, there’s nothing wrong with exploring alternative ways of looking at the world.

Answer #6

Is there something specific you’re hung up on? If it’s just life in general, becoming more involved with your religious community or just talking with a religious leader can help.

Answer #7

Not only is it not too late! When you feel that motivational pull toward your truth and the truth of your Maker encompasses your soul again, it will be way more powerful this time around! This is an awesome and undeniable path that everyone will eventually tread. Those who die without their faith will face and know the truth at the moment of earthly exit. When you die, the first thing you discard is your religion; the first thing you meet is your relationship with God. You’re a “good egg”..

Answer #8

It is never too late to “hold on to” your faith, although the question isn’t clear about underlying issues.

“Faith is irrational.” ???

No human being, who is not in a coma, lives a life without faith. The only question is, “Faith in what?” Faith is simply acting on a hope that cannot be empirically measured or proven absolutely. Our lives a chock full of things that we act on based on our confidence in the experience, advice, or testimony of others.

Answer #9

Its never to late

Answer #10

Why do you want to hold onto faith? Faith is irrational.

Answer #11

u can belive in anything you want to. It dosen’t have to be a religion
