No, it’s not really. You probably don’t even understand what macroevolution means, and no it doesn’t mean that apes gave birth to humans. Evolution is a continuum.

Microevolution is what evolution is, macroevolution is what we see when we look at the big picture- evolution that has taken place over long periods of time.

microevolution + 4 billion years = macroevolution

Of course we can’t directly observe millions of years of evolution, but one place we can see it is in the fossil record.

microevolution (what ty is referencing) , sure. fact. macroevolution, however, is a completely different story.

not necessarily true captain… they have observed changes taking place within a couple of generations (the finch observations for example).

but yes, it is rather slow, if there’s a dramatic change and the animals cannot adapt rapidly enough, they will probably die out,
