evolution? pros and Cons
"macroevolution, however, is a completely different story"
No, it's not really. You probably don't even understand what macroevolution means, and no it doesn't mean that apes gave birth to humans. Evolution is a continuum.
Microevolution is what evolution is, macroevolution is what we see when we look at the big picture- evolution that has taken place over long periods of time.
microevolution + 4 billion years = macroevolution
Of course we can't directly observe millions of years of evolution, but one place we can see it is in the fossil record.
not necessarily true captain... they have observed changes taking place within a couple of generations (the finch observations for example).
but yes, it is rather slow, if there's a dramatic change and the animals cannot adapt rapidly enough, they will probably die out,
um, no, it's not a fact.
microevolution (what ty is referencing) , sure. fact. macroevolution, however, is a completely different story.
Pros: It's a fact. Cons: Some people wish it wasn't for ideological reasons.
CON: it takes forever.
