Model of evolution.

So out of curiosty how is Evolution called a theory? Shouldnt it be considered a Model because there is no evidence that supports it. In other words the model stage of which we test a hypothesis. The theory is after the test is completed and you produce results. My question is how can it be theroy without million years of documenting? Now before you write anything is it possible for you to explain your answer without insulting the author of the question.

Because a theory is something someone made up that fits the idea of how things happen without a proof. Model is when someone can actually show it happening.

No, you’re using the layman’s definition of ‘theory’. The scientific definition requires testing. A theory without proof is a hypothesis.
