Evanescence or Lacuna Coil?

Well I was playing rock band the other day and there was this song on the playlist Called “Our Truth” by Lacuna Coil. This was the first time I heard them and I must say I was impressed. I was talking to my buddy and he asked me who I liked better as a lead singer between Amy Lee of Evanescence or Christina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil and which of the two bands I liked better. I wasn’t sure so my question is,

What’s your opinion?,

Amy Lee or Christina Scabbia?

Evanescence or Lacuna Coil?

Answer #1

There isn’t much difference between the two. All I can really distininguish is that in some of their songs (like in their album “Comalies”), Lacuna Coil does songs either completely or partially in Italian. Of course, I enjoy the sound of other languages so that get some favor points.

But Evanescence manages to incorporate a heavy mix of symphonic/orchestral sounds, and does a lot of good covers of classic songs (like Mozart’s “Lacrimosa”, written “Lacrymosa” on Evanescence’s album).

When comparing just singers, I think Amy Lee has a little bit of a lead just because she’s the only one, to my knowledge, that has a strong solo career in conjunction with her band, and from that I can see that she has a really great voice.
