“Crash diets” where you only eat one sort of food for a couple of weeks will make you loose some weight fast. But as soon as you go back to normal eating, you will start to gain weight. Probably more than you lost. The jojo-effect. Beware of it.

If you want to loose weight and keep your weight low, then you need to permanently change your diet. This will make you loose weight much slower than a crash diet. Probably only two or three pounds a month. But this will be permanent. It is also much healthier than loosing a lot of weight fast. Change to a balanced low fat, low carb, some meat, a lot of veggies and a lot of fruits diet. Drink water and fruit juice / water mix. Ask your doctor if you are not sure whether you get all nutrition that you need.

Cupanoodles are full of carbs and fat. They are one of the worst things to eat when trying to loose weight. If you want to loose weight, then make sure to EAT for starters, when you don’t eat your body just holds onto all of the fat it can find instead of burning it. Eat 3 meals a day (with the option of healthy snacks if you get hungry) and make sure you eat fresh foods and wholegrain bread. For example, your day: Breakfast= piece of fruit and low fat diet cereal (be careful, most mueslis will be full of fats and sugar, if you have ‘special K’ where you live, it’s a fantastic cereal). Lunch= sandwich, wholegrain bread, with lettuce tomato avocado beetroot etc but only a little bit of cheese if you want cheese. Dinner= Something light, because instead of walking around helping to burn it off you will be sleeping afterwards. Stay away from noodles and pasta- carbs you don’t need. Stay away from fatty meats, meat is fine but note that nearly anything that comes frozen in a box will be absolutely laden with fat- you may as well have a burger and fries!! Try and eat salads, steamed veges, maybe corn fritters, tofu, tomato on crackers… you get my drift lol. Snacks can be fruit and veges (though remember that fruit can make you feel bloated even though it’s very good for you), nuts (in moderation), and a glass of water often helps hunger stay away for about half an hour before a meal! REMEMBER TO DRINK LOTS OF WATER. And if you need help with snacking, I find that chewing gum helps me keep away from eating my sister’s chips and sneaking her candy haha. Hope I helped.

Any diet that supplies fewer calories than you burn will result in weight loss. Assuming 300 kcal for the noodles, 35 kcal for salad vegetables, and 60 kcal for salad dressing. you are looking at about 400 kcal/meal. 3 of these meals would be 1,200 kcal which is about the minimum you can eat without it being considered a “crash diet.” If you are going to eat 1,200 kcal/day than there are much better choices than cup noodles and salad. A varied diet is more likely satisfy all your nutritional needs. You should be eating more whole grains, vegetables, and fruit and less refined, fast, and fatty foods.
