Are there any easy ways to train a border collie to catch frisbies (collies are good at disc catching)?

Collies are great dogs for catching, they are facinated with things that move. Bringing it back however may be tricky. Be aware that playing frisbee with a dog can cause herniated disks in there spine and there are many dangers overall. But to train the dog feed him tricks. Move the frisbee around his head to get his attention, make him want it. Hop around so he is aware you are playing. Throw it and tell him to go get it. He may or may not. If not run and get it and tap it a few times. See if he is willing to grab it or take it. Continue until he knows that this is a toy and it means play. Every time he displays proper behavior of fetching, give him treats. it signals to him he is doing the right thing.

I have a collie! you have to feed him/treats. these types of dogs are verryyy smart. you have to be nice. & when your dog does something good give him/her a kiss or rub him/her (-:

I used to have a collie. She was to old before I started to think about training her. I LOVE them!
