Border Collie or Doberman?

okay so I narrowed it down to a couple dogs. I want a border collie. My dad wants a doberman. I don’t know what my mom wants I’ll ask her later. which should I get border collie or doberman? and after you pick this I’ll tell you my moms.

I have a collie. shes gorgeous, and has a lot of energy and I love her (: I’ve had quite a few breeds of dogs, and shes deff my favorite.

well so far it’s border collie I’ll ask my mom her pick between border collie or doberman when they come back from golfing!!! And I’ll tell my dad that you guys chose border collies!!!

I prefer border collies, just because of the amount of energy they have. My boyfriend had one and he was well trained, gorgeous and a lot of fun…but they need really big yards for running around.

I’ d prefer a Dobie…they are loyal, kind hearted…very smart…and extremely trainable (all of which can be said of a Border Collie :) )…however Border Collies were bred to do one job…and that is to herd…and to this day, they can do that without stopping all day…all night. A Dobe is a lot calmer…needs less exercise, and inclined to stay by your side.

That’s just my preference…

I am with Phrannie on this one, unless you can give the Collie the life or “job” it may need to stay out of trouble. They can become nippers because they are breed for a job.
