DVD burning Time

About how long does burning a DVD usually take?

Answer #1

Actually its NOT illegal..

Answer #2

It depends on whether or not the file needs to be transcoded, whether or not it needs to be converted into a .m2v or similar DVD format, and how fast the DVD drive you have is. I am in the business; I work for an advertising company burning commercials to DVD. Because of this, I have high-end DVD authoring software, and a 16x DVD burner. I usually keep my files in DVD format so I don’t have to convert them first. Most of the discs are about an hour or so of footage. So, in the best example I can give: if it takes me about 10 or 15 minutes to burn an hour-long DVD of ready-to-burn files, with a 16x burner, then you should be able to roughly estimate your own timeframe.
