I was on the site http://funadvice.com/r/3jurldo7ed, and stumbled upon (pun intended) a thing that said drinking a glass of water before eating can help you lose weight. Currently, I am drinking a glass, and waiting for supper to finish cooking. I told my husband when he asked me what I was doing getting a glass of water right before dinner and I told him why, and he thought it was a good idea. How can drinking one glass of water before having something to eat help you lose weight? All it would do is make you pee right? I'm also asking because I'm curious.
Water is good for the body. Not only does it clear your system of toxins, it also helps your brain send signals to the rest of your body that your appetite is larger than your hunger. In simplified terms, it makes you feel better and "fills you up" (it's a myth that it does that but that's the best term to help everybody understand without getting super technical) so that you will eat less and your diet will actually work.
Really anything you drink can fill you up, Water, (chocolate) white milk, pop, juice ect.. It's just that water is most healthy for you. I'm an assistant teacher and were not allowed to fill their cups up again until they have eaten most of their lunches due to the fat most will get filled up on fluids and not substances.
