Do you think the Patriot Act is a good idea?
This is huge for all Americans. 22% of national security letters can’t even be found, and furthermore, many of them that were obtained by the FBI were obtained illegally. Call your congressman. Story via techdirt here: http://techdirt.com/articles/20070309/145914.shtml which then links to CNN.

It is dreadful! Moreover I consider it treasonous. GW Bush took office swearing to uphold the Constitution then used 9/11 as an excuse to suspend much of our Bill of Rights.
One of the best thigns you do is join the ACLU. The ACLU is the only organization that consistantly chalenges civil liberty abuses by our own government. I’ve been a card carrying member for over a dozen years.
