Do I have an e.d.?
Im now 14 and since I was about 8 years old food has been my way of controlling my feelings, But I think I may have gotten carried away with it, Because now I feel like im huge, I feel like I can barely even walk anymore. And im active, im a figure skater. But yet my waist and my legs seem to be the fattest thing on my body. And my familly members try to get me to diet, In a way. I mean my mom constantly yells at me for eating even just the littlest bit of junk food, And always yells out “ no wonder you’re fat!” And it doesnt help, I mean I already have a very low self-esteem, andpeople know it. Especially my mom, because he constantly tells me I need therapy to learn how to like who iam. But the thing im worried about most is becoming soo fat that no one will like me anymore. So not alll the time, But quite a few times I’ve been pukeing, Even if I’ve only eaten a little bit. I dont eat when im at school exept for lunch , which is only a salad and I need people around me all the time so that wayi dont think about food. People are always telling me how they wish they looked like me, Or how its sorta gross how when im wearing a bikini you can see my ribs. But I dont get it, When I look in the mirror I see fat ! All fat ! And lalely I havent been myself, I’ve been crying over little things, and I have big mood swings, I took a couple online tests and some have actually said that theres a chance I may have manic depression. But I dont think so,. Im very good at hideing my problems, I know how to fake a smile, Its even to the point where people think im always happy and that nothings wrong, But everythings wrong, And pukeing makes me feel better, Especially after I eat. Do you think I have an eating disorder? I have nooo clue. But if I do, I dont know who to turn to, The only person I can think of is my best friend andrew, But the only way he can help is to tell my parents, And were not very close anymore. We’ve drifted away, And who knows what my mom would do. Gahhh help, im only fourteen !
if you’re binging, then being sick, it could be bulimia.
if you’re BMI is 17.5 or less, you’re being sick, but not binging, then it cloud be purging-anorexia.
if you’re BMI is more than 17.5, you’re being sick, but not binging, then it could be EDnos.

If you can see your ribs when you wear a bikini, chances are you’re no where near fat. You definitely have an eating disorder if you make yourself vomit after you eat. It’s called bulimia. You’re only 14. It’s normal to like to eat! You’re growing and your body needs food. The best way to stay healthy is to have a balanced diet (diet doesn’t always mean only eating salads and stuff or eating small portions). Look at a food pyramid. You have to eat to survive. If you feel like eating, it’s okay. Just have something small, or try something healthier opposed to junk food. Fruits are amazing. They have their own natural sugar that tastes great, and they’re great for your body. It’s okay to eat. You can also balance out extra calories with exercise. Figure skating will work, running burns fat too. Just stay active and eat with balance. =)

hun… let me tell you something… the best way to love is to first learn to love yourself!! it seems like you do need help and the love and support from your family will surely help you, im sure of it! looking at your pic… you seem compleatly beautiful to me =) honestly <3 you’ve got to learn to love yourself and accept yourself for who you are! im being serious… nowadays people dont noe it but beauty goes way far beyond apperances now… beauty is skin deep (my boyfriend taught me that). talk to your friends about it and try to approach your family about the situation too. I use to think I was ugly and fat as well… but I have my friends to thank, for showing me that im not…and that im beautiful just the way I am!! - my boyfriend helped me too!!

Maybe you need to tone up but it certainly does not sound as if you need to lose any more weight.
Please try and speak to someone you trust about this before it becomes more serious. Maybe a health professional, school counsellor, friendly teacher etc…
Your BMI is not yet at danger level so there is still time to moderate your behaviour before you make yourself very ill.
