  Apocalypse: noun: a cosmic cataclysm in which God destroys the ruling powers of evil - see: battle of Armageddon noun: the last book of the New Testament (Revelation) ; contains visionary descriptions of heaven and of conflicts between good and evil and of the end of the world; attributed to Saint John the apostle

  Rapture: when Jesus Christ returns for his own - people that are saved / accepted Salvation - happens in the 'twinkling of an eye' with the dead in Christ rising first and those alive immediately follow.

  ...keep in mind, that the apocalypse refers to the destruction of Jerusalem 2000 years ago rather than some future event, and the Rapture is completely unbiblical; a fairy tale invented in recent history by twisting and merging totally unrelated portions of the Bible.
