What is the differance in haveing a heart attack and haveing a stroke?

The most important difference is that stroke affects the brain, whereas a heart attack affects the heart as already mentioned. A heart attack is caused by a blockage of blood vessels, usually the coronary arteries. There are two main ways however in which a stoke can occur. The first is ischemia, where the blood vessels are blocked, as with a heart attack. The other is hemorrhage, where blood leaks from the brain.
